The brand new LowLight Plus mode was developed in cooperation with our technology partner Ittiam Systems and is available as an In-App Purchase. In addition to\u00a0a dedicated tripod mode, it also gives users users the power to reduce noise in their photos with hand held photography. By automatically combining multiple photos, it surmounts both hardware and software limitations\u00a0to\u00a0create superior low light photos.<\/p>\n

2. Noise Reduction \u2013\u00a0Tripod Mode<\/h5>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]When using a tripod, multiple photos are captured and\u00a0combined into one superior photo using the device\u2019s\u00a0maximum exposure time. The iPhone\u2019s motion sensors\u00a0automatically detect whether the device is kept steady\u00a0enough to capture photos at maximum exposure time.<\/p>\n

When stability has been achieved, the device will\u00a0switch to tripod mode and display a tripod icon (top\u00a0left) instead of the orange shaky hands symbol.[\/vc_column_text]

3. Long Exposure \u2013 LUX+ Exposure Boost<\/h5>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]By activating \u201cLUX+\u201d, you can now take photos even\u00a0in very dark environments. Thanks to the powerful\u00a0exposure boost, candlelight or moonlight will suffice as\u00a0a light source. Using a tripod is mandatory, as LUX+\u00a0captures up to 64 separate images, and the device\u00a0must remain completely still during this time. Long\u00a0exposure photos may even come out brighter than you\u00a0perceive the scene with your own eyes. LUX+ turns\u00a0night into day!<\/p>\n

When LUX+ is activated, a tripod icon\u00a0is always displayed as this mode requires total\u00a0stabilization. The tripod detection is very sensitive and\u00a0even detects slight ground vibrations (e.g. on a bridge)\u00a0or shaking caused by wind. The tripod icon will turn red if the iPhone detects too much camera shake.[\/vc_column_text]

5-Picture HDR<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]The sophisticated\u00a0vividHDR in ProCamera<\/strong>\u00a0now handles up to 5 photos. The HDR capture process uses multiple photos, shot with different exposure times, and combines them into an image with a higher dynamic range. As a result, there are\u00a0more details in the highlights and the shadows. Increasing the number of photos from 3 to 5 can further\u00a0raise\u00a0the amount of detail \u2013 even in extreme lighting situations.
\nBy default, the HDR camera automatically chooses between an auto-bracket of 3 or 5 photos based on the scene you’re shooting in. However, you can also determine whether to use 3 or 5 photos for yourself by toggling the “Auto” button in the control panel of the HDR mode. “Auto 3” means 3 photos are automatically taken,\u00a0“Auto 5” accordingly means an auto-bracket of 5 photos.
\nAnd the best thing about it: Everybody can test the new HDR mode starting today! The update comes free of charge as part of v9.3 for all existing users of vividHDR in ProCamera \u2013 and for those of you, who haven’t already bought the In-App Purchase, we are still offering the free HDR test mode\u00a0with permanently watermarked photos.[\/vc_column_text]
