1. Torch (Steady Light)<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Did you know that ProCamera not only provides a flash, but also a torch feature? Tapping the flash icon in the top left corner of the screen toggles between Auto\/On\/Off settings for the built-in flash. To activate a continuous light<\/strong> (torch feature), you simply need to long tap the flash icon. A torch symbol\u00a0will appear right next to the flash icon \u2013 a single tap on the torch deactivates the torch.
\nIn addition, you can set the intensity\u00a0of the torch light by tapping on the slider right next to the torch icon. Long tap the torch icon to switch between torch intensity slider and Exposure\/ISO display.
\nThe torch feature is available in Photo and LowLight camera mode.[\/vc_column_text]

2. ProTimer (Intervalometer)<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]ProCamera’s intervalometer feature, which we call the ProTimer, is an extension of the already known Self-Timer. The ProTimer allows you to take a series of photos<\/strong> based on your custom parameters: Delay before the first photo is taken, total number of photos, and the pause between succeeding photos.
\nTo open the intervalometer, you first have to make sure that you have set the Self-Timer as your Second Shutter. The Second Shutter is the shutter button right next to the Main Shutter Button, which can either be assigned to the Anti-Shake feature or the Self-Timer. You assign the Second Shutter in the control panel (three line icon bottom right). Tap and hold the Second Shutter (Self-Timer icon) and then tap on “Open ProTimer” to get access to the intervalometer settings.\u00a0By tapping on the Second Shutter, you start your photo series. The ProTimer icon generally\u00a0tells you the number of photos set. After starting the photo series, you can stop the capture process at any time by tapping the Second Shutter icon \u2013 that comes in really handy when capturing an unpredictable scene, where you can’t be sure how long it will take. In such a case, it’s best to dial in a relatively high number of total photos and then stop the capture process once the scene is over.
\nThe ProTimer is currently available in Photo and LowLight camera mode.[\/vc_column_text]

3. Long Tap (Capture Formats)<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]As you might have noticed, a lot of additional features are accessible via\u00a0long tap gesture<\/strong>. It’s a great way of giving users the ability to extend the functional scope, without cluttering the screen with additional icons and options. In the past, we oftentimes called this gesture “long press”, which should not be confused with the relatively new “3D Touch”. A long tap depends on the duration of the tap (tap & hold) \u2013 whereas a 3D Touch depends on the physical pressure you apply to the screen (currently only available on the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus).
\nA lot of the available options in the control panel (three line icon bottom right) can be viewed via long tap \u2013 such as the Aspect Ratio<\/strong> setting. Tap and hold the Aspect Ratio icon, to see all available capture formats at a glance.[\/vc_column_text]

4. Export Menu<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Using the Export Menu, you can share mobile-friendly\u00a0versions of your files<\/strong>: Choose file size<\/strong> (Original, Large,\u00a0Medium, Small), convert TIFF to JPEG<\/strong>, and\/or remove\u00a0existing geotags<\/strong>.
\nYou open the Export Menu via long tap on\u00a0the sharing icon (bottom left of the photo preview) or by opening the sharing menu and then tapping on the export\u00a0summary box above the displayed apps and services.<\/p>\n

Your export preferences (size, remove geotag, etc.) are\u00a0saved for your convenience. Each time a new photo\/video\u00a0is shared, the \u201cNext\u201d button of the export settings must be\u00a0pushed in order to apply your preferences. This prevents\u00a0you from accidentally exporting your files with the undesired\u00a0settings.[\/vc_column_text]

5. QuickFlick\u00a0(Settings & Gallery)<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]This next feature\u00a0has been around for ages, but it’s probably something not many users\u00a0make use of. It’s quick and super handy, so it had to be part of this list.
\nA swipe<\/strong> from the left to the right<\/strong> of the Capture Screen will take you straight to your photos<\/strong>.
\nA\u00a0swipe<\/strong>\u00a0from the right to the left<\/strong> of the Capture Screen will take you straight to the Settings<\/strong>.
\nAlso, you can go back to the Capture Screen by swiping in the opposite direction. The secret is to start swiping right at the edge of the screen.[\/vc_column_text]

6. Mirrored Preview (Viewfinder)<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Did you realize that the preview of the front facing camera is typically mirrored, which means it doesn’t look the same as the saved photo? This is to provide\u00a0an intuitive way of composing your shot. The preview of the front facing camera is mirrored on smartphones \u2013 whereas the actual photo saved in your camera roll is not mirrored. In case you want to have an\u00a0unmirrored photo preview<\/strong>\u00a0in the viewfinder of the Selfie camera mode, to see yourself as others see you, simply tap on the top right Front\/Back Camera switch.\u00a0It makes it a little harder to frame your shot, but you see what your photo will look like once it’s saved to the gallery.<\/p>\n

Mirroring your viewfinder preview also works in other modes, not just the Selfie Cam, which solely\u00a0utilizes the front facing camera. In the other camera modes, you mirror your preview by long tapping the Front\/Rear Camera Switch. Mirroring your viewfinder also comes in handy when using special gadgets and lenses that modify viewing direction.
\nVia Front\/Rear Camera Switch you only modify the preview in the viewfinder. In order to alter a saved photo, you may\u00a0use the mirror function in the photo editing studio of ProCamera.[\/vc_column_text]

7. Bluetooth Trigger (Volume Buttons)<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]It\u2019s possible to use the Volume Buttons on\u00a0your device or on your headphones to trigger\u00a0the shutter release. To activate this function, go to Settings (General Options) > Volume\u00a0Buttons.<\/p>\n

An alternative way to remotely control ProCamera is our dedicated Apple Watch app.<\/p>\n

ProCamera generally provides the\u00a0capability to trigger the shutter release via\u00a0Bluetooth<\/strong>, as long as the utilized device\u00a0emulates headphones (“Volume Buttons” need to be activated in Settings).[\/vc_column_text]

8. “More” Button (Settings)<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Basically, it’s just a little button at the top right of the Settings in ProCamera, but it delivers access to a lot of useful options. You open the Settings via Control Panel (three lines icon bottom right) \u2013 or as mentioned before by swiping from the right edge to the left of the viewfinder.
\nBy tapping the “More” button, you will see\u00a0that the settings expand<\/strong> and\u00a0more options\u00a0<\/strong>being displayed. Choose file format and jpeg compression, define video focus mode, edit Copyright tag in your photos’ metadata, … just to name a few of those features.[\/vc_column_text]

9. Re-Arrange Camera Modes<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The order of the camera modes in the Camera Mode Selector of ProCamera can be adjusted. You may even hide camera modes you never use. That way you can customize\u00a0the app\u00a0so that it best suits your needs.
\nTo edit the list of camera modes, open the Camera Mode Selector (two arrow icon left of the shutter button) and swipe all the way to the right.\u00a0A grey button with 3 dots leads you to the configuration panel. Or else, pull the Camera Mode Selector all the way to the right (drag left), until the arrow icon at the end turns upwards and then let go (pull to open gesture).<\/p>\n

Changes you make here, regarding the order or visibility of camera modes<\/strong>, are passed on to the ProCamera Today Widget.[\/vc_column_text]

10. ProCamera Widget<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Over\u00a0the last couple of updates, our ProCamera widget in the Notification Center has continuously been growing in form and function.\u00a0The Notification Center is your iPhone\u2019s customizable repository for system and app notifications. To open it, simply place your finger above the top of your screen and pull down \u2014 even when your lock screen is displayed.<\/p>\n

How to add ProCamera as a Today View Widget:
\nThe today view can be customized via the “Edit” button at the bottom\u00a0(only visible when your iPhone is unlocked). By tapping the little green + icon in front of the app name, you add the associated widget to your Today Screen.<\/p>\n

How to use the ProCamera Widget:
\nThe widget enables you to rapidly\u00a0launch ProCamera in a specific camera mode. So, if you plan\u00a0to record a video for example, directly launch the app in Video mode.
\nTo best meet your requirements, the order of the Camera modes in the widget is the same as in the\u00a0Camera Mode Selector\u00a0of ProCamera. If you re-arrange the Camera Modes in the app, those changes will be applied\u00a0in the Widget.<\/p>\n

For easy reference and planning, ProCamera\u2019s Today\u00a0Widget can also show you the times of sunrise and sunset<\/strong>, blue hour<\/strong> and the period of the next full moon<\/strong> for your current location (if you allow ProCamera to use your location). Best thing about it: You don\u2019t need an internet connection, which most people don\u2019t have when traveling abroad.<\/p>\n

Since some of you want to keep the widget as small as possible (e.g. only camera mode icons are displayed), we have added a settings options for that in our last update. Via\u00a0Settings > Today Widget you may individually hide\/show the time displays\u00a0according to your preference.[\/vc_column_text]
