RAW Capture<\/h4>\n

<\/div>[\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]We are very excited to introduce full support for RAW capture in automatic and manual mode. It will be available on all devices with a 12MP camera<\/strong>. That’s the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, SE and of course the brand new iPhone 7\u00a0& iPhone 7 Plus.<\/p>\n

RAW photos will be saved in the DNG file format, and a separate JPEG file is always saved along with each of them. In Camera Roll and in the ProCamera gallery, RAW photos are displayed in preview size\/quality. The actual RAW file always makes use of the full sensor resolution (4:3) \u2013 deviating capture formats like 16:9 or 1:1 will only affect the appendant JPEG file.<\/p>\n

RAW capture is supported on both individual lenses of the iPhone 7 Plus.<\/p>\n

\n<\/em>Open Control Panel (three lines icon, bottom right) > Settings > Photo Mode Options: File format.
\nA quick new way to change\/check the file format is opening the Control Panel. In the bottom left corner, the current file format is displayed. Tap on it to change the file format.[\/vc_column_text]

RAW Editing<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]The Editing Suite of ProCamera now also supports RAW files on all devices capable of shooting RAW photos. Once again, this means iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, SE, 7, and 7 Plus.<\/p>\n

When editing, RAW files (DNG) remain untouched. Edited versions of the capture will be saved as separate JPEG files. You will notice that the RAW editing includes brand new adjustment tools.<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]With every new generation of iPhones comes a new built-in camera system. To get optimal results in our special camera modes vividHDR in ProCamera and LowLight Plus, the capture process needs to be adjusted to the new camera characteristics. The \u201ecamera response curve\u201c of the actual devices has to be analyzed, so that\u2019s not something we can prepare in advance. Our technology partner Ittiam Systems and we are working as fast as possible to release\u00a0a product that meets our high quality standards.<\/p>\n

Over the coming weeks, the two modes will be optimized for the new devices, and there will be free updates for both in-app purchases. Previous purchases can be restored. Low Light Plus will be available very soon. We are sorry you have to wait. Please bear with us for the time being.\u00a0Your ProCamera Team.<\/p>\n
